Kasny
Lore
At first glance, Kasny are small beings but quite clever and persistent. They almost never act alone, as they are too weak to handle a victim on their own—no matter who it is—they always attack in groups, and this is their main danger.
There is no precise information about what Kasny look like, as few have survived encounters with a group of these creatures. Rumor has it that they are small beings whose legs somewhat resemble those of spiders, only completely smooth, and their faces have numerous small teeth, somewhat like a piranha.
When Kasny choose their victim, they literally cling to them like horrible leeches or attack dogs, and they don't retreat until they've completely drained all strength from the person. And if they realize they can't handle it themselves, they immediately call for more Kasny.
A distinctive characteristic of Kasny is that the more resistance they meet, the angrier and more persistent they become. Their fury reaches such a degree that they stop noticing even defenses—they don't feel pain from blows, holy objects, or rituals. Because of this, some of them die or receive serious injuries right in the midst of the attack, sometimes even dying alongside the victim to whom they continue to cling. Such behavior, combined with their weak ability to reproduce, leads to the gradual extinction of the Kasny.
Kasny become truly dangerous only in a pack—individual specimens are almost harmless. If two or three attack, one stays with the victim while the others rush to call the rest, emitting a disturbing, high-pitched call. Therefore, if you hear this squeal in time and take action, you might manage to escape before the whole pack arrives.
