Gavun
Lore
From head to toe, Gayun looks like an old grandfather, but not weak or hunched like an ordinary old man. You could say he's quite sturdy and always smiling. Instead of hair, gray moss grows on his head, and his clothing is entirely made from forest plants. However, Gayun doesn't always appear in this form. Most often, he can be encountered as a bear, though with one peculiarity: he spends most of his time walking upright—that is, on his hind legs.
There are places in the forest to which Gayun is particularly attached, carefully guarding them so that no one disturbs their age-old, untouched beauty and harmony. If someone suddenly tries to cut down trees there, Gayun appears before the woodcutter in his true form and asks him not to disturb the forest inhabitants. It's known that after such an encounter, no one comes to those places for a long time; rumors spread quickly, and people stay away from there for quite a while. But truly tragic events do happen—when Gayun becomes angry and doesn't just scare the woodcutter but, in his rage, fells a tree onto him. Therefore, villagers are somewhat afraid of him because Gayun is a powerful forest spirit, as befits a guardian.
