Double-Souled
Lore
Double-Souled are people born with two souls (or two hearts): one human and one demonic, and therefore possess demonic qualities. According to legends, Double-Souled can later transform into vampires or werewolves.
The main trait that unites all Double-Souled is the ability of the second soul to leave the sleeping body and exist independently, usually to harm people: stealing people's health or life if it's a vampire; transforming into a wolf and attacking people if it's a werewolf.
People capable of controlling hail clouds and heavy rains, as well as those who can influence the yield and fertility of the next year, are also considered Double-Souled; they are often called Warlock (black-book sorcerers). The power and unusual abilities that Warlock possess due to the presence of a second soul give them the ability to divert hail and downpours from their village fields and direct storm clouds as they wish. If the soul that has left the body is killed, the Double-Souled dies. Double-Souled. Roaming soul
The soul of a Double-Souled wanders the world in its human form or transforms into a dog, cat, hare, horse, snake, mouse, moth, bat, or other animals, as well as objects like a wheel or a poker. Some believe that the soul of a witch flies in the form of a glowing orb, which can be caught and destroyed.
While the second soul roams the world, the Double-Souled sleeps soundly, and it's impossible to wake him until the soul returns to the body. Usually, the soul leaves and reenters the body through the mouth in the form of a fly, mouse, or something similar. If the position of the sleeping Double-Souled is changed (for example, turning him so that his head is where his feet were), the soul cannot return, and the Double-Souled will die unless the body is turned back. It is generally believed that the Double-Souled remembers nothing of what happens during sleep, and during the day, his behavior is no different from that of ordinary people.
It is also believed that the need for the second soul to leave the body and harm people doesn't depend on the Double-Souled's personal will; it happens when a certain moment arrives, and the Double-Souled is forced to do it; otherwise, he will die.
